Our Football Club spends most of its practice time on City of Edmonton, natural grass fields. While this is a cost effective option for the Club, closed fields, poor field conditions and even circumstances like 2018’s smoke from BC results in many cancelled and missed practices. To prevent missed practices, and to improve the confidence, skills and results of our teams, we need to practice.
We are seeking a Sponsor that will cover the cost of scheduling more time on Artificial Turf fields.
Our Fields & Facilities Sponsor will receive:
Helmets are the most important part of a Football player’s safety equipment. The sizing, fit and condition of the helmet is of the utmost importance at all times. Football helmets have a 5 year life span before they need to be re-certified. After recertification a Raiders football helmet will see 5 more years of field experience. The cost for one helmet that our program uses averages about $350 each and each year we have to replace at least a handful of these.
Helmet Sponsors will receive:
Have you ever been in a situation where you have to suddenly learn the names of 30 to 50 people? It can be pretty difficult. What makes it even more tough is putting a big, metal helmet on their heads. When they’re wearing their game day numbers it’s a little easier to differentiate, however, practice jerseys all look the same. One of our Alumni came up with a great idea to assist the Coaches in identifying their players:
Personalized practice jerseys. Not only do these practice jerseys have each Players’ name emblazoned on the back, each of our Raiders get to keep their practice Jersey at the end of the season! Jersey Sponsors can choose to sponsor Jerseys for the entire club, or they can choose to select one team only.
Jersey Sponsors will receive:
THANK YOU TO MARIO & EVERYONE AT MDM FOUNDATIONS FOR PROVIDING PERSONALIZED PRACTICE JERSEYS FOR OUR ATOM & PEEWEE TEAMS!
Every year our Club spends thousands of dollars in replacing damaged, broken and outdated
equipment. Over the years we’ve seen equipment get lost, and the cost of this equipment continues to increase. It’s difficult to provide the tools that our Coaches need.
Our coaches have wanted a 3 or 5 man training sled for years but we haven’t been able to accommodate this with our budget and efforts.
The Company that provides the Raiders with a Sled will receive:
We understand that you have budgets, responsibilities and other demands as well. If you would like to contribute funds, but are not able to afford the opportunities outlined above, we’d be happy to explore your budget and what the most beneficial use of those funds would be for both our Club, and your Business.
In the past, we’ve had scholarship donations that our Club has been entrusted to provide to a player that would otherwise not have the opportunity to play. We’ve had Companies donate restaurant space with discounted rates for our meetings, functions and parties. We’ve had Businesses that have offered to provide free promotional items. No donation or sponsorship is too small.
Sometimes the most important sponsors don’t donate money; they donate time, services or other special products - the Raiders appreciate it all. Whether it’s a discount on products, free services, or your time, we would appreciate your help!
Parent Pub night is a win-win night that allows Raider families the chance to get to know those that they'll be cheering next to for 6 months this year, as well as provides an opportunity for our Club to raise funds. Donations are always accepted at the Clubhouse and are greatly appreciated. Tickets are required for admission and we encourage friends and family to join us.
The West Edmonton Raiders are proud to support our Eskimos by working in their Merchandise booths. Selling toques, cow bells, t-shirts and more, the Raiders earn a share of the profits from this effort. Volunteers are required for all home games.
In every even-numbered year, the Raiders are fortunate enough to host a Casino. The monies earned from the casino finance most of our operations, allow us to keep our registration fees low, and are extremely important to the welfare of the West Edmonton Raiders.
Our annual garage sale doesn't earn any funds for the Club, however, it does allow us to break even on old inventory, allows our families a chance to purchase Raider Wear that they may not have otherwise afforded, and provides our families a chance to exchange those items that they've grown out of, for new articles of clothing. Bring in your gently worn Raider Wear and we'll give you 10% off something new. Commemorate your season with a retired Raider Jersey, or even find a new, never worn, Raiders jersey. The annual garage sale provides a chance for everyone to get their Raider Wear before the regular season heats up..
Purchase yourself some chocolate almonds or nut-free chocolates in our Clubhouse as a snack, or sign out a couple cases to sell for Volunteer Credits. The sale of each of these bars supports our Club.
Stroll through our Clubhouse to find T-shirts, Hoodies, Jackets, replacement player equipment (mouth guards, belts, socks, etc.), hats, visors, cow bells, umbrellas, blankets and many other exciting items that show off your Raider pride. The purchase of each of these items provide a small profit that helps keep our club operating.
